Bed was a hip, uncomplicated, value-for-money hostel perfect for trips when most of your waking hours are spent outside anyway. Loved the bare bones, industrial design. It's just 2 BTS stops away from the Siam shopping district and is quite easy to locate early on in the Sukhumvit 1 soi. Down the street is what looks like a world-class hospital in case of any needs or emergencies of the medical sort. Coffee and tea are free, there's towels and liquid soap in the toilet, and the front desk guys are uber helpful especially when I was planning out a DIY city tour for my family (to save on tour guide costs).

I went to Bangkok a couple of days ago for a shopping trip and I had a pleasant stay in Bed Bangkok Hostel. Very good location, only about 5 minutes walk to Phloen Chit BTS station. I think I save more money on BTS tickets staying here because it's in Sukhumvit Soi 1, so it's really not that far from Siam and Pratunam area. The room and bathroom are very clean. Moreover, the staffs are really friendly and helpful, you can always see the smiles on their faces when they greet you in the morning or back from going out. In short, this hotel is very good value for money!
The bed is rather hard, but the comfy blankets and fluffy towels make up for this.

The location was awesome. Very close to the bts and in the heart of the city.
Beds were hard, room was small and dark with no windows, a bit like a prison cell.

I like the location of the hostel. It's about 5 mins walk to Ploencit bts Skytrain. (2 stops to Siam bts station where all the shopping is and 7 stops to Saphan Taksin bts station for the Chao Phraya express boat). Though it's right in the middle of town, the hostel is in a small lane that's away from the noise of the city. And it's very easy to get a taxi too. There're lotsa foodstalls nearby, massage places and a convenient stall (Family Mart). I also like the clean sheets, towels, blankets and toilets. There's shower gel and hot/cold water in the private bathroom (no hair shampoo). The room is small like a box. With attached bathroom, the area is a bit small but we're ok for the price. Free WiFi is great too. :) The staff are very helpful too. There's a girl with long curly hair (name is Non?) that speaks really good English. She was very helpful to give me a morning call at my request.
I was woken up every night during my stay (many times from 1am-6am). The buddy type room is on the 2nd floor (just right next to the wooden staircase). The area is so small that you can hear all the voices and footsteps on the wooden flooring. I can hear people running up the wooden staircase. The footsteps on the corridor right outside my room also create vibration on my bed (I slept on the lower bunk bed). There is an open space below our room, people sit there and talk at night. We're so close that we can hear every word. Maybe there should be signs to inform other tenants to be quiet during the night. Also, the staff can be more proactive and remind tenants to respect other tenants who want to sleep at night. My friend had stayed at the girl's dorm on the 3rd floor before and she had no problem with noise because she was the only one on that floor. The flooring on the corridor is made of concrete so it transfer less sound too. And it's higher up from the lobby.

In a good location in a mini-soi off Sukhumvit Soi 1. Can be a bit difficult to find: take exit 3 from bts Ploen Chit, walk forward across some roads and a railway track until you get to Soi 1 (if you pass a 7- 11 you have gone too far). Walk up Soi 1, past some shops including Family Mart and on the left side of the road there will be a side road, which is where it is located. If you go past a hospital you have gone too far. Also only a few minutes walk from bts Nana station. Lots of food shops and stalls/ restaurants near by. Huge number of shops as well, and very close to Skytrain, canal boat and buses. Free tea and coffee in the reception, and good free wifi. Room was very clean and air- con worked well. The reception staff member was very polite and helpful.
As mentioned before, it can be quite noisy. Rooms are small and 'windows' face into the corridors. Not a place to stay if you want to sleep a lot but ok for 1 or 2 nights. I only stayed for one night so it wasn't too bad, but I could hear all the noise from the seating area next to the lobby.
